COAA 2007 Spring Workshop

Dear friends and colleagues,

You have been working, thinking, and maybe struggling hard through the winter. Now you have results, thoughts and questions that you can show or share with friends and colleagues. Why not bring to this low-stress COAA2007 Spring Workshop, and let's have some fun of sharing and discussion on May 5th?  Here as well, can be the rehearsal platform for your summer conferences, such as COAA2007, IUGG, IGARS… etc.   Your presentations will broaden our community knowledge base, inspiring new ideas. Your participation will enhance networking.  Please join this delightful event.

TIME: Saturday, May 5th 2007, 9:30 am – 5:00 pm

Followed by a dinner at Seven-Sea Restaurant, College Park (~$15/person on your own))

STYLE: Both oral and poster presentations are solicited. Poster presentations are especially encouraged and will be given a five-minute oral summary. Please specify your preference.

AWARD: Two excellent oral presentations will be selected. Each awardee will obtain $250 travel allowance for COAA 2007 international conference to be held in Qingdao of China.

COAA 2006 Spring Workshop

You are cordially invited to attend the COAA Spring Workshop on Saturday May 20th, 2006.

This workshop is to:
• Exchange ideas and results, and socialize with other COAA members in a friendly and stimulating environment;
• Promote the research achievements of young scientists for their future career development

COAA 2005 Spring Workshop

Dear COAA members:

The COAA Spring Workshop will be held at University of Maryland (College Park) from 1:00 - 5:00pm, April 16 (the day after the tax return and you may need a break :-) followed by a dinner. This year's workshop particularly features "Interaction with Program Managers".

Three program managers from NASA, NSF and Navy ONR, respectively are invited to give talks as well as question answering. If you are interested in how to obtain research fundings, please come to attend or even better to present your own research results to get some feedbacks from them.
